New issue 24883 by lubos.motl: With the new Acrobat Reader 9.2, no PDF
appears in old Chrome windows
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=24883

Chrome Version : 4.0.221.6
URLs (if applicable) : http://www.karlin.mff.cuni.cz/~motl/entan-
interpret.pdf
Other browsers tested:
Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
      Safari 4: OK
   Firefox 3.x: OK
          IE 7: ?
          IE 8: OK

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run Adobe Acrobat Reader and in Help / Check for updates, update to
newest 9.2
2. Click any PDF link to open PDF within a Chrome window.
3. See that it shows nothing.
4. Try to repeat (1) but shift/click for a new window: it will show up.

What is the expected result?

The PDF files should be opened within the Chrome window.

What happens instead?

The PDF files are not opened in the Chrome window.

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.

This bug only seems to arise when the newest Adobe Acrobat Reader 9.2 is
installed. The problem doesn't occur with Firefox 3.5.3 or Internet
Explorer 8 or Safari 4.

If you experience the problem, I recommend you to either:

1. Use shift/click instead of click to open PDF links in Chrome
2. Run Acrobat Reader, go to Edit / Preferences / Internet, and uncheck
"Display PDF in browser"
3. Regulate your anger, limit your usage of PDF (or temporarily switch to
another browser), and wait until the Chromium team fixes this bug.
