The one line that seems...interesting in this stack is:
5 ntdll.dll!RtlResetRtlTranslations+0xc63
Maybe i'm grasping at straws here, but this is curious. The system is doing
something with RTL, and hanging for 10 seconds.
Jeremy, have you heard anything about Win7 RTL issues?
