An other proposition: Based on: - Translations are done in XML files - There is tools to handle this (I guess), no need for gettext - The ability to test a translation without recompiling is a plus
My proposition: - Store translations in protobuf files - Generate the protobuf files with GRIT. - Use the same IDs windows uses. - At runtime, parse the protobuf files and store the strings in a map, 3 lines of code - Each string can be fetched using the map - A translator can update the files with GRIT and test his translations in a few seconds --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Chromium-dev" group.
