Nesting. CMake claims to be able to generate build configs in all sorts of formats, and so does gyp. It would just be fun to see CMake dancing to gyp's tune, or vice versa.
But you're right, I don't think it'd be particularly useful. It'd be more interesting to understand the originally reported problem, "pain on for example xcode or kdevelop users". What is the problem, again? Does the OP want xcode or kdevelop to run gyp when the user starts a build?
