I selected the developer's programme option for Chrome and have installed the latest version ( 0.3.154.0 ) today, and it seems the problem is much reduced, if not eliminated. If true, the next general release ( which is much less frequent should also fix the pdf and flash freezing programme. . The development version ( which is weekly updated, but probably more fragile ) can be obtained via instructions at.. http://googlechromereleases.blogspot.com/
