Sam's suggestion is interesting particularly because it solves the
problem I have of accidentally entering autoscroll mode (by
mistakingly middle-clicking on something which is not a link or just
besides one) and the page moving a lot from where I was (because the
scrolling is also very sensitive to slight movements).

Ideally though, I'd really really like an option to turn the whole
thing off.
