I'd like to have extension API for changing bookmarks favicons.
The problem I'm trying to solve is to set icons for bookmarklets. This
is mostly branding related, it seems to me that bookmarklets which
work together with some extension should have its icons.
Sure, once we would have a solid, expandable toolstrip UI which could
mimic bookmarks but for me we have a ready-to-use solution now based
on bookmarks (and some built-in features as a bonus, e.g.
synchronization).
