No Andy, it is not pedantry it is important, better to say "archvive
photo" or famine scene from India than be lax

BTW it may be a minor thing, but that picture from that website was in
fact taken of the famine in Southern India in 1877. Perhaps it is
pedantry, but someone too lazy to check and see if he is using a
relevant picture is probably lacks the enthusiasm to write an accurate
history of the famine.
