hi.

i have several directory on my solaris snv_111b home that i can't access
anymore from windows (vista/win7).

rei...@sunny:/daten/Musik/Sampler$ ls -V
total 41
d---------+ 2 reiner staff 70 Nov 23 21:52 NDW
            user:reiner:rwxpdDaARWcCos:-------:allow
       group:2147483648:rwxpdDaARWcCos:-------:allow
d---------+ 2 reiner staff 2 Nov 24 18:55 Neuer Ordner
            user:reiner:rwxpdDaARWcCos:-------:allow
       group:2147483648:rwxpdDaARWcCos:-------:allow

when i check permissions of that diretory NDW on windows i have full permission as user reiner. when i douple click the folder NDW i get an error message that i can't access it. the folder "Neuer Ordner" was created with the windows explorer and can be accesed.
for my point of unterstanding both folders have the same permissions. or?

what makes it more bizare to me:
when you view both folders with windows explorer and choose "symbol view",
windows is able to display a thumbnail view of the picture, that is included in the
folder NDW.

any idea?

See http://blogs.sun.com/chrisg/entry/cifs_acls_permissions_and_itunes that seems to be exactly what you are seeing.
