[In my opinion:] OpenTimelineIO I think it's better to postpone it
because it's a project still in beta, written in Python and based on
QT. Maybe it's better not to waste time on it now:

However, the idea of a standard EDL that allows you to convert and use
the EDLs of various programs is extraordinary and I hope it will be
adopted in the future.
