Use the format dialogue to set the ratio and dimensions of video to be rendered. Use camera (and/or projector) to zoom and position your original video in the frame. (Click camera icon in the compositor window and change zoom factor then drag the image within the compositor frame to position it where you want it.) Wherever there is no image there will be black bars.
Set the ratio to 4:3? or leave it at 16:9? When I set it to 4:3 it stretches everything out ..
