A user reported a bug in loading an MPEG-4 file. As I test, I find that ffmpeg didn't like the file at all, and I couldn't get good results with mencoder. I'm experimenting with Kino, and preliminary tests indicate that it can import MPEG-4, FLV and AVI files fairly successfully. It creates dv files - and Cinelerra seems to import these Kino-generated files fine. So, my conclusion so far, the most successful strategy is to import into Kino, and use the DV files it generates to import into Cinelerra. The DV files that Kino creates are quite large, but it looks like a fairly robust method. Maybe Kino can be used further to produce some rough clips (or maybe even not so rough clips), which can be used in Cinelerra. _______________________________________________ Cinelerra mailing list [email protected] https://init.linpro.no/mailman/skolelinux.no/listinfo/cinelerra
