Obviously, some people don't seem to get the point with GIT:
It is up to /you/ to define your policies as you see fit, and GIT will
support it :-)
If someone wants "privileged checkins", this just tanslates to arranging
for one specific branch at one GIT repo to represent the "privileged truth",
so every merge to this branch will be a privileged checkin...
