Its a bit different though, i think. The card works with uncompressed
YUV or Y'CbCr to be precise, a pretty standard thing. Whereas with
the redcode somebody needs to reverse engineer the codec which also
isn't like common video codecs but lets say a mix between photo raw
format and something like Dirac. I also imagine it is not simply a
question of decoding the stuff but if i understand correctly the
demosaic algorithms for instance have big quality differences and
requires quite a bit of tuning. So would guess it is a bit more work,
but then again im no developer so not sure.
Although sure, eventually someone will do it. One hopes!

the workflow that might be usable in cinelerra is to export the
footage as an image sequence from their redcine or redalert and then
do editing from there on in cinelerra. re editing image sequences
help me out here cinelerra users as im hanging out here mostly
