Hi,

thanks for the quick reply. That's a shame. I was hoping to get my HD footage a bit smoother by getting a more powerful graphics card with openGL 2.0 :-(

Hi all,

I've got the problem that the openGL driver is slower (5fps) than the XV driver (10fps). I've got an nvidia card with opengl 2.0 support and was actually expecting that it's getting faster and not slower with openGL. I've got a force 7300GS and then nvidia drivers installed. Any ideas why it is so slow?

If you process in YUV and display with OpenGL, you have an additional YUV->RGB
conversion, which is done in software I assume.

For rendering YUV video, xv is always faster I think.
