Thanks to all for the replies. I used to use Suse before I went to
Fedora Core. Had to go to something more Red Hat like for some
requirements that have since passed. A coworker likes Ubuntu. And Debian
is a possibility except it has a somewhat different update and packaging
method as I understand it. There is something to be said for familiarity
when it comes to administration.

I do not have any packages installed from ATrpms at the present time. I
was aware of the problems and previously used ATrpms primarily for
MythTV which is on RPMFusion. I use the priorities yum plug in and have
the atrpms repository set at a much lower priority than any other
repository and atrpms is not enabled by default.
Still, with the cinelerra-cv from kwizart, package
2.1-21.git20081103.fc10, I get only a green playback when I render a
YUV4MPEG Stream. I bugzilla-ed it.
