This appears to be machine-specific; it only happens on an AMD Athlon 64
X2 3800+ machine where I compiled Cinelerra with OpenGL support. And it
only affects the compositor window; the rendered result is just fine.
Not that I'm able to fix that (I'm no cinelerra dev) but it would be
interesting to know on which system the problem does *not* occur.
Can you confirm this problem?
No, but that doesn't mean anything.
At first I thought it didn't occur on my regular work machine (dual-core
Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.40 GHz, GeForce 8500 GT), but upon closer
inspection, it /does/ occur -- it's just that the problem shows up most
prominently in relatively dark scenes.
Also, the behaviour is slightly different: Here, the brightness is only
correct when playing forward or fast forward, not in any other mode
(frame forward, normal reverse, fast reverse).
As I said I can only guess here. What might make a difference is to switch
the project between RGB and YUV and the video driver between OpenGL and
XVideo. But that would only help to guess more precisely what the problem
might be, it won't fix it.
