Thanks Sean, but the original .mov is 1080p, so there's no interlacing to start with, and thus no fields either. I'm afraid that the others are right, and that changing the frame rate itself is the tricky bit. Thanks a lot for you response anyway -- I wouldn't have thought of this if it had been interlaced material (e.g. 1080i).
