Obviously, some people like Windows to the extent that even a dual-boot
setting isn't good enough for them. So virtualization is a relatively
simple solution in this case. With shared folders set up wisely, it can
be pretty convenient.
And the fact that it's in a window of its own doesn't matter so much,
because there isn't anything to copy-paste with other applications. And
all I suppose we all consume all screen space we have with Cinelerra, so
the fact that the whole package is in a Window doesn't matter either.
Thinking about it, maybe we should promote a Cinelerra on Live CD image
for execution with VMPlayer? It could be a neat solution for Windows
users, requiring no previous knowledge. (The CD image is mounted on the
virtual machine as an image, so there is no slowdown).
