If I simply assign something like IP 127.0.0.5/30 to the port and throw a ton of traffic to 127.0.0.6, will the packets actually go out the port? Or will the router see that the port is looped and just discard the traffic? >From the router running extended pings to the 127.0.0.5 address (the interface physical address) Wil ldo it for you. http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk713/tk628/technologies_tech_note09186a 00800a7599.shtml Regards Brian _______________________________________________ cisco-nsp mailing list cisco-nsp@puck.nether.net https://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/cisco-nsp archive at http://puck.nether.net/pipermail/cisco-nsp/
