I have noticed however that some NMS solutions uses the reverse lookup of the entered address (in this case 'switchname') for filling in the name in the software. Does anyone have any better suggestions, or should I just enter the management interface into DNS without the 'lo1' and on the switches without loopbacks? I have the same issue with the 3750s - although there the management interface is a vlan interface, and not a loopback.
