Dear list,

Came accross this message when inserting WS-X6704-10GE LCs in my core
routers (6509 running 12.3(33)SXH2a advip) :

*Nov 17 01:38:10.409: %LFD-CFC7-6-RESOURCE: MPLS software is disabled on
this linecard*

Googled it, nothing came up. Did a quick lookup under Cisco's Error Message
Decoder site and got theese two results :

1. %LFD-6-RESOURCE: [chars]

MPLS is not supported by the platform.

*Recommended Action: *No action is required.
 LINK Messages

This section contains data link messages.

2.

%LFD-6-RESOURCE:
[chars] MPLS software is disabled on LC.

*Recommended Action: *No action is required.

I need to upgrade a back-to-back link between my two core routers and I'm
pretty sure theese LCs support forwarding of MPLS.

Has anyone came across this message before ? Is it purely informational ?
What does it exactly mean ?

Thank you for your feedbacks.

Regards.

Y.
