I have a glass of beer for every hitless SMU out there :-). > For full blown, hitless ISSU/SMU/FPD stuff, not a chance > in hell. I don't believe in ISSU. Even for (other) platforms where it has had a modicum of "success", folk end up rebooting the router anyway to clean up strange inconsistencies. But when you have to wait 2hrs for an upgrade to complete (vs. 15x minutes on like-sized alternatives), you have to worry about whether IOS XR passes the real-life edge deployment test. Mark.
