I discovered some difference in configuration towards the ASR1000
regarding Service instances and BDI's.
I cannot set the mac-address under interface BDI. The ASR1000 does
support this. Can someone give me some hints how I can set the mac
adress of the Layer3 frames ?:
interface TenGigabitEthernet0/1/0
no ip address
service instance 1802 ethernet
encapsulation dot1q 1802
rewrite ingress tag pop 1 symmetric
bridge-domain 1 split-horizon group 0
!
interface BDI1
mac-address 0200.0000.0003 (This doesn't work on the ASR902!, IOS XE
on ASR1002 does work)
ip address A.B.C.D 255.255.255.0

Yes, you can, providing the MTU you are setting for the xconnect is lower than
the interface MTU, if it is not, the command will (at least in XE 3.13) change
the MTU of the interface that has the service instance
