Abdi,

My choice was OpenBSD on a cheap PC (Pentium 200, 48MB RAM). With that, I'm
running a PPPOE DSL connection, Packet Filtering & NAT (included), Snort
(Intrusion Detection), a connection to the 6Bone (IPv6 group), SSH (Secure
Shell) and when my 6Bone peer is ready, IPv6 BGP using Zebra. I suspect
I'll need more RAM, but the machine is fast enough for everything I have
needed so far.

My machine has three Ethernet interfaces. One is for the DSL, another is
for my network. The third may be another segment some day. It could also
be a DMZ if I had more than one IPv4 address.

There are several web pages available that tell you how to get it all up and
running.

Happy Holidays.

Ken

Hi all,
I plan to getting one DSL line and one dynamic IP address from an ISP. Also
I will be connecting about 10-15 stations to the DSL line. Equipments that I
will be getting includes:DSL modem, router, and a HUB. DSL is not my field
of expertise. My question is, how to configure a network in which all of the
computers can use the DSL line. Also, what would be the best router's vendor
type can I use considering to minimize costs. I appreciate any expert feed
back on this. Thanks.

Farhn
