Marc, I would think that with the Market being soft $50k for ONLY CCNA would be max. I have my CCNA and fit the bill, but I also have CNE5, A+, Network+ and a couple others w/ 6 years IT exp. I would think CCNP with minimal exp could bring 50k pretty easilly. As far as training, I have been hearing promises of training for the past year at my present company.... I went so far as to request time off and pay for it myself and got shot down... so I have been buy Routers on eBay and have my own 2500 serives lab. You can pickup the 2500 series routers very reasonable right now, so you might consider investing in equipment and books, test software and self-study for the CCNA. Then you will be ahead for the next exam because you will already have some of the equipment for the CCNP. I prefer the www.selftestsoftware.com tests. The test for CCNA is excellent, and Cisco recommended testing software.
