Gurus,

an apology in advance for the basic question, but scouring the archives
didn't help as I couldn't seem to narrow down my search enough... here is my
problem ~ I have 3 routers that habitually boot to the rommon mode, not when
doing a reload (they boot fine then), but only when I first power them on.
When this occurs, all I do is type "I" and they boot straight up without
anymore problems. It's really annoying.

I have the config registers set to 0x2102 and even put in the boot
statements to point to the correct file in flash, but this doesn't help.
FYI, the three routers are 2 MC3810's and a 7010. Occasionally a 2503 will
do the same thing, but not everyday like the other three. This is much like
when a PC's bios battery goes bad.

Any light shed from my fellow scholars may alleviate a daily annoyance for
me, and would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,
Dave
