Trying to test HSRP between 2 Cat4006s running IOS 12.1(8a)EW1. 'Sho standby brief' says that the vlan routing never gets switched over to standy router and stays in the "INIT" state. Rtr 1 is standby for VLAN2 Rtr 2 is active for VLAN2 perform a shutdown on interface VLAN2 on rtr 2; 'sho stand brief' gives no ip addresses for active and standby rtrs., but instead both say "INIT".
