James, I don't know whether anyone replied yet, but according to the software configuration guide on the Cisco documentation CD, http://127.0.0.1:8080/cc/td/doc/product/lan/cat2950/1219ea1/scg/swipaddr.htm , you can use "ip default-gateway", like on the 2900: Switch(config)#interface vlan 1
Switch(config-if)#ip address 172.16.10.2 255.255.255.0 Switch(config-if)#no shutdown Switch(config-if)#exit Switch(config)#ip default-gateway 172.16.10.254 Eric ----- Original Message ----- From: "J. Apparently other > 2900 switches have the "set ip route default GATEWAYADDR" command (see > http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/lan/cat2900/cgcr29k/index.ht m > - thanks, Priscilla) but not, as far as I can tell, on the 2950 (see > http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/lan/cat2950/12112cea/2950cr) FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/cisco.html Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
