I have downloaded the program and printed out the manual.

I apologize for being dense. I have a bit early confusion arising
from the first page, "Installing the Private Internal System for
Customer Service and Billing."

I understand and respect the security point about installing it on a
private LAN. But does the Private system co-ordinate and integrate
with the Public system, based upon the single database MySQL dB
installed on the private, offline system?

The manual seems to make a major assumption, that after I read every
detail of the manual and go through the tedious process of setting up
the two installations, one on my desktop, the other on my server,
that they will work together. But nothing is stated explicitly to
establish that beforehand. I don't want to go though all that only to
find myself the self-inflicted victim of a mistaken assumption - and
wind up with something that doesn't work that way.

So my question is pretty simple. Once I install the two systems and
go online, they will communicate and keep each other updated?
