In a recent conversation with Peter Holman (Parley Director) who has a particular interest and knowledge of 17/18th and early 19thC British music he mentioned that, in addition to the various reasonably well known portaits of her (including with 'English' guitar), there were a number of Gainsborough sketches with one of her playing the Spanish guitar. For all I know this may be common knowledge amongst most of you; if not and if it's of any interest, let me know and I'll find out more. Martyn
