Well, coming from Crail which is quite capable of having 24 seasons in
one day, he would have to write 96 to cover all the possibilies!

Rob, have you tried to get Crail to erect an Oswald statue or plaque again?

I have just finished two years' slow and careful work with the local
Amenity Society in Kelso which will see my original 1990 article on
Walter Scott's connections and history here turned into a neat small
book, seven official plaques placed on buildings, and a trail map issued.

All funded by grants in the end and by summer, Kelso will have another
tourist attraction and the story will not be forgotten again (it
submerged under inaccurate and incomplete extracts from around 1890
onwards, about the time when anyone who actually knew the people and the
lands and places involved would all finally have died).

I'm sure Oswald could be turned into something the new VisitScotland
would be FAR more interested in. Go see Philip Riddle their new
Edinburgh HQ boss?
