Rob, Are you saying Geminiani taught the guittar? I just put Geminiani and Scotland into Google and one of the first quotes that came up was that Geminiani never set foot in Scotland. Looking at the Groves entry, it seems he lived in London, Paris and Dublin. There is no mention of him being a guitar teacher either. The writer of the Groves article remarks rather sniffily that his pieces in the Art of Playing the Guitar are inferior to all his other works. Did he teach Bremner in London? Geminiani ending up teaching the guittar is like Stockhausen ending up teaching DJ-ing possible, of course, but rather surprising. ----------------------------------------- Email sent from www.ntlworld.com virus-checked using McAfee(R) Software visit www.ntlworld.com/security for more information To get on or off this list see list information at http://www.cs.dartmouth.edu/~wbc/lute-admin/index.html
