Just watch out for fake pearls. These were made from celluloid in the 
1800s, and can explode if trodden on. They are also extremely flammable 
if they get near a candle at dinner etc. It's mainly fake pearls which 
are famous for their pyrotechnic qualities. Instrument bindings and 
decoration probably don't get near candles so often.
