It isn't. Reason is that the `texlive' directory contains special .fd
files for TeXLive which aren't necessary/useful if you have the full
HLaTeX font packages. So you should do the same as MikTeX:
cjk-current/texinput should be the replacement for texmf/tex/latex/CJK.
Obviously, the TeX run is fine, but pdflatex can't find Korean
subfonts. You should manually check whether pdftex.map is correct.
Perhaps there's a bug in the updmap script/program...
