G'day everyone,

Ok done.

Umm, where does the pdftex.map file normally live? On MikTeX 2.4 in \localtexmf\pdftex\config there is something called "pdftex_dl14.map." There's also another similar file called "pdftex_ndl14.map." I tried opening it and having a look, but have no idea what it is I should be looking for (or even if these are the things you are talking about). Are these what you're talking about? If so, is there a particular line that I should be looking for?

IIRC this subfont issue did not crop up when I installed the fonts before. Is it a versioning issue with CJK or with MikTeX you think? If not, then do I need to get the subfont files from somewhere? (do I have to get these subfont files? Or do they get created automatically?)

Have attached the new .log file as well as updmap.cfg, is there something out of the ordinary here with updmap.cfg that's causing this bug? Again this could be a MikTeX quirk *sigh*

Once again, any help would be great. And apologies for probably sounding a little thick about some things

Thanks in advance!
