I've currently set the hdef of all the 4 Arphic fonts at:

\CJKhdef{offset}{-.12em}

Because -0.07em seems a bit too little.  My sole criterium was that
the glyphs had to look well between parentheses "()", with as much
space above as beneath.
Perhaps -0.12em is too much; what do you think?
Or why set it to -0.07em?


Another note: in order to get this "fix", one needs to use
\usepackage{CJKvert} and then use \CJKhorz.  \CJKhdef is only
available when CJKvert is loaded.

Isn't there a way to make it also available to the regular .fd files?
Or better: if \CJKhdef is included in .fd, that the .fdx will also
make use of it? [Since I think that .fdx builds upon .fd, this will
already be the case.]
