Dear list,
the message just sent makes no sense as I forgot to add
\usepackage[T1]{fontenc} to my code.
After inserting it I am back at square one, with 'pdffonts
CJKutf8-ex2gut.pdf' yielding:

I will have continue searching (but maybe someone has an idea?).
