Greetings, everyone;
Okay, I'm probably just not looking in the right place, but I see no
mention of the kennel name, or affix, situation with the CKCSC, USA
club's online site, and I'm curious. I have used "Dark Star" as my kennel
name for over 20 years, but never registered it with the AKC - they don't
require it. Perhaps it's not a bad idea to protect one's kennel name, but
they've always allowed me to *use* it without charging a fee, and they've
never penalized me in any way for not having registered the kennel
name. So, you might ask, drumming your fingers, what IS her
question?!?
Must I register my kennel name/affix with the CKCSC-USA to be
able to use it; and if I chose to not spend $100 to register something
that I've been using for so long will my puppies be registered with that
obnoxious "regis" prefix???? Is the idea behind using the "regis" prefix
to point out the people that are too cheap to pay for the use of their own
kennel name, or what exactly is the point? Please forgive me if I am
being rude about it, I'm just having a difficult time grasping this concept!
Can anyone shed some light on the subject for me?
thanks so much,
Sandra
