Yes, it is true that you must pay your $100 and make a formal request to
have "Dark Star" as your affix if it is your desire to have any CKCSC, USA
puppies you breed carry your kennel name. If someone else is already using
this affix, you will NOT be allowed to have it and will have to select
another affix for CKCSC, USA purposes. This would be true even if you had
registered this affix with the AKC. If you do not apply for an affix, any
litters you breed would be registered with the CKXSC, USA affix of "Regis".
