I looked at your pictures and couldn't tell what was what.  DUMB!!  What have you
got the nest sitting in?  Do you put this nest in a home-made wooden box with a
hole cut in the middle of it for the whelping nest to fit in?  I'll have to find a
carpenter to do this for me since I don't have a man in the house, won't I?  I'm
no carpenter, so that's out.
I've been breeding  Cavaliers for 14 years and have sweated it out for the first
several days, keeping the room warm enough (and I keep them in my room where I
sleep) for them.  I also don't understand how you cover the entire surface with
something and then have the nest in the middle of the box or whatever it is.  I
sure sound ignorant  but this is hard to imagine since I've never seen anything
like it, including all the different kind of pads people are talking about.
