Years ago, when I was new to the breed, I was invited to join the "old" club.
I was very flattered and eager to do so. I had my first cavalier who was an
Australian import champion and had recently bred her to a well known dog in
the US. She had already had her litter of five so I decided to register them
all together at the same time as I applied for membership. In due time, I
received a response to my applications. I could become a member of the club,
and my Australian cavalier could be registered but the litter could not
because the owner of the sire was persona non grata in the club.

I friend of mine received the same information but was told that she could
get her pups registered if she sent them to someone in Canada or another
country and registered them there. Then they could be registered with
CKCSCUSA.

I decided that one registry was enough at that point. It could have been
very edifying and a lot of fun had arms been a bit more open.
