Hi all--
Just to restate what seems obvious to many...the small numbers at most
AKC shows (compared to CKCSC-USA) may often include great quality. A
couple of weeks ago I attended an AKC show in Massachusetts where
Andreas flew in for the weekend and went away with two BIS and three
Group 1s. A week or so later, in another Massachusetts entry of 20 or
so, there were 5 outstanding specials, including a UK import BIS winner
in CKCSC-USA, another young UK import who had just finished brilliantly
from the classes, yet another UK import who is winning very well and
placing in Groups, a super young dog who is owner/bred here, and my own
Elvenhome dog. It was a heady line-up and would have stood up quite well
with the best that CKCSC-USA has to offer. These scenes will be
repeated more and more frequently as time goes on--no venue has a
monopoly on quality.
