Hi Julie:
Very well said. I was just about to imbark on the same theme and here
you have said it all.
If anyone is in doubt about the facts Julie has written about, just look
in Elizabeth
Spaldings book on Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and you will read that this
was exactly the intention of the newly form members in the beginning.
I was very surprised reading Liz's book that this newly formed group
actively petitioned the AKC for membership, was put in the miscellaneous
class and it was stated that they were anxiously awaiting the time when they
would be accepted by the AKC. If you look through some of the very old year
books, you will see AKC handler's and exhibitors of other AKC breeds showing
Cavaliers.
As Julie said, somewhere in the 28 yrs the CKCSCUSA changed their mind.
This is something to think about!
Tina
