I think I'll try your method Phyllis. This last litter of 8 pups was the
biggest I've ever had to manage and the clean up was pretty involved even with
the mom's help. Even between the two of us, we still struggled to keep up
with all of them. With the little shallow tray, I can leave the whelping nest
on as usual. My pups always love that source of warmth and rarely leave it for
long even at 5 and 6 weeks. Myra Savant
