Annette - I don't think the horse thing applies specifically to
Cavaliers.   Learning about animals, no matter what the species, can
relate in a positive way, and be applied to your knowledge, of other
animals.

A couple of books that many, many dog people have found very valuable,
are on the recommended  reading list at many dog seminars.  Those books
are "Dairy Cattle Judging Techniques" and "Dairy Goat Judging
Techniques".   I don't want to go from horses to goats and cows on this
list, but the point is, it is amazing and very interesting what one can
learn from many different sources.
