I was just told by my vet that my puppies are too fat and should be on a "diet". The
puppies are two weeks old, each weight in at 11oz at birth and now hover around 2
pounds. All of my litters (a grand total of 6 before this one) have had large puppies
(8-14oz) and I have always given the mother free access. I must admit that the non of
the previous puppies have been this big this fast and these puppies are having trouble
moving and even their breathing seem labored (thus my revisit to the vet). Of course
the Mother is not happy not being with her babies (she is such a wonderful Mother!)
and I worry that maybe she will loose interest in them.

Any thought or opinions on this matter?

TIA
Susan
