Susan Rather than putting the puppies on a diet I would look perhaps at the mom's diet - with only two pups she really doesn't need very much more to eat than her normal diet would be. I think we are all guilty at times of being afraid the bitch is not getting enough to eat to feed her pups plus the fear of eclampsia (well I'm always bothered with that thought anyway) I have two pups about the same age as yours at the moment - the mom has been dreadful - I couldn't get her to eat anything good - she is still only eating breakfast cereal and milk twice a day and tinned dog food (yuck the cheapest variety at that!!) but the pups are fat and content Therefore maybe a little less for mom to eat will cut back her obviously plentiful supply of milk - just a thought

Of course the Mother is not happy not being with her babies (she is such a wonderful Mother!) and I worry that maybe she will loose interest in them. Any thought or opinions on this matter?
