Hi Susan, I agree with Claudia. My last litter of pups (2 in the litter) were little piglets. They were sooooo fat and one of them did have trouble getting up on his feet. I put an eggshell crate underneath his bedding, which helped him get up..LOL. Once they were weaned their growth slowed down considerably and now they are both average to small dogs. I think that some bitches just have richer milk than others, perhaps with more fat content.
