I have had a similar experience to yours. Years of periodic bouts of
'strawberry jam' diarrhea and hundreds if not thousands of dollars in vet bills
with never a cure. Since BARF we have only had one episode and that was shortly
after introducing the new diet. No problems now for 4 or 5 years.
I must disagree though on the feeding habits of the wild canine. To the best of
my knowledge, feeding is mostly ripping, tearing and gulping. If you take time
to chew someone will steal it from you (unless you're alpha). Chewing is done
mostly for recreation on bones and if the chewing started the stomach acids
flowing, there would be little for the acids to dissolve. That's the way I
understand it anyways VBG
